Sun Infrared Technologies, Inc. was founded in 2000 by Chuck Rolek, a seasoned expert in the infrared technology industry. The company was established as a Manufacturer’s Representative and Value-Added Reseller, with a mission to deliver the highest quality products, training, and support to customers across North America.
Chuck began his career at Hughes Aircraft Company in Carlsbad, California, where he worked with the innovative handheld Probeye infrared cameras. In 1988, FLIR Systems, based in Portland, Oregon, acquired the product line. Chuck continued his career with FLIR Systems during a period of rapid expansion, contributing to the growth of their portable, research, Ultramedia, and airborne infrared systems across North America.
Recognizing a growing need for advanced diagnostic and predictive maintenance technologies, Chuck founded Sun Infrared Technologies to meet this demand. Today, the company is a trusted partner for Fortune 500 companies, utilities, manufacturers, and small businesses alike—offering expert solutions in infrared thermography, ultrasonics, vibration analysis, motor diagnostics, and infrared window installations.
